Enforcement Fees: Clear, Transparent and Reasonable

The author made an overview of the various visions regarding the structure of enforcement costs in the UIHJ member countries. This publication also gives an overview of international principles regarding a clear, transparent and reasonable fee structure. Finally, this publication does suggestions for the establlishment of a fair fee structure. Jos Uitdehaag is the Secretary of the International Union of Judicial Officers (UIHJ). The International Union of Judicial Officers (UIHJ) was established in 1952. Nowadaysthere are 85 member countries. Its mission is to represent its members with respect to international organizations and to bringabout cooperation with Professional organizations at national level. It contributes to the improvement of noational legal procédures and international agreements. It works to promote the ideas, projects and initiatives aimed at advancing and improving the independent status of the judicial officer.
